A Very Proper Post Office Protest

So a few days ago I woke up to a the murmur of voices outside my window.   I looked out to find that the post office (two doors down from ours) is in danger of being closed and the neighborhood had staged  a protest!  (Too bad I didn't hear about it or I would have gone.  We love our little post office- the clerk inside was very excited when Marc mailed his absentee ballot.)  Anyway, it was so amusing to watch the brief protest - it was VERY polite and organized.  The crowd stood there quietly-- certainly no hollering or chanting, and everyone tried not make a scene:).  They posed for pictures with their little signs, talked quietly to a few reporters, then went home for a cuppa tea!  Man I love that British reserve.
