There's a light at the end of this tunnel of coldest-cold-snap-in-thirty-years-yeah-thought-that-fourth-layer-of-socks-would-be-useful-winter!
And here are two signs of hope we've collected:
The boychoir at Salisbury Cathedral is practicing Easter music.
And the birds have returned to our fair isle, and they are singing the frost back into his miserable cold hideaway.

Oooooooooooooooh! Did you go to Salisbury? I'm so JEALOUS! I love that place. Sigh. I miss England.
And we got snowed on today.
We did finally go to Salisbury! Beautiful. Very, VERY cool new fount. And the oldest working clock in the world! Bit disappointing, though, that you can't look up into the spire from inside. oh well. Oh and I bought 'The Spire' there, remembering your recommendation to read it! I should have read it before we went, but I'm caught up in 'The Poisonwood Bible' that someone gave me for Christmas. :)
