The Madness Begins

I just finished the first chapter of my dissertation.  *Deep breath*  It was really difficult to begin, knowing that a monstrous 400 pages stretched out in front of me.  But now I am thirty (measly) pages closer to my goal!  *Deep breath, don't panic!*

 

Meet Thomas Whythorne: 16th century musician, unlucky in love...my dissertation is a biography of this wonderfully pathetic character.  I love him!
