With the fam we spent a couple-a days in south Wales, stopping at Caerphilly Castle (another one belonging to our ancestors for a few centuries that I am sadly not inheriting) and Tintern Abbey on our way to Manorbier Castle's beach, where Mom's great Grandma used to play (!) as a child.
As soon as we came in sight of the beach Sam was deeply affected & proclaimed that this was his idea of heaven, and we agreed. We spent some blissful hours playing the tidepools, collecting shells, and brave Marc even swam in the cool water. Worth the four hour drive just to see some old beach? I was skeptical at first, but yes, yes it was indeed.
